Background of the project

Hangzhou CBD, which east of the Qiangjiang river and west of the West Lake, is the center of political, bussiness and cultural in Hangzhou. And also Hangzhou CBD is trying to be the national AAAA scenic spot now.

We can't ignore that night screne are becoming the second outlook of the city gradually. Because of G20, Hangzhou CBD got a great promote in night scene and that bacame one way to improve the energy and economic under the background of west lake era turns to Qiangjiang era.

Project brief

As the main contractor of the project, night lighting design of Hangzhou CBD, in 2013, THUPDI took two projects, called T-shaped open space landscape and lighting design for three buildings and Linjiang architectural theme lighting phase ii at the middle of th CBD. The projects contain 33 building neat the river and 380000㎡ lighting design area.

The light show of Hangzhou CBD uses the characters, which are city, water, light,and shadwo as the theme of the show. We call them the spirit of water, the soul of city and the shadow of light.
